World's Biggest Anaconda Found In The Philippines?

A photo that claims to show the world's biggest anaconda snake that was purportedly caught in the Philippines has been circulating on Facebook recently.

Its caption reads, "World's biggest anaconda snake found in the Philippines in Negros Island virgin forest river. It killed 752 human beings and thousands of animals. It is 135 feet and 3 inches long and about 3000 kilograms."

We believe the photo is fake and there is no truth about the claim since there is no anaconda in Philippine forests and rivers because the snake is endemic in South America. Additionally, if you take a closer look of the image, you can immediately tell that it was edited, and poorly edited at that. It has not been reported by news agencies as well.

We were curious where it was taken so we searched for the original photo in the interwebs and we found this. It looks like the person who edited the picture just mirrored the said photographed of an anaconda and attached it on the photo of the gro…

Pinay Maid In Singapore Who Won P75 Million Lottery Accused Of Stealing Ticket

A Filipina domestic helper became an instant millionaire after winning the grand prize of a lottery in Singapore recently.

She took home SGD2.3 million (PhP75.5 million) which she immediately deposited to her bank account in Singapore, while sending a portion of the amount to her children in the Philippines.

However, a month after she claimed her winnings, the 44-year-old became the subject of a police investigation after someone lodged a report claiming ownership of the winning ticket and that it had been stolen.

According to a Straits Times report, Len (not her real name) was upset by the news and insisted that she has done nothing wrong but has given the police the information they needed for the investigation including her bank account details.

Len told the police that she bought the Singapore Sweep ticket at a Singapore Pools outlet in Tampines while on her way to accompany a friend to a money remittance center. She and the officers visited the outlet to ask a copy of the estab…

Another Oarfish Found In Antique, Japanese Folklore Says Sightings Foretell Earthquakes

A 12.75-foot oarfish, a rare deep sea fish, has been washed up on the beach of Barangay Maradiona, Belison, Antique on Thursday afternoon, August 13. This is the third sighting of an oarfish in the province in just three weeks.

On July 23, an 8-foot oarfish was caught by a fisherman off the coast of Tobias Fornier. The second oarfish, which measured 11 feet, was captured through a fishing net in Laua-an on July 28.

Oarfish is known as the "Messenger from the Sea God's Palace" in Japan. According to Japanese folklore, oarfish rising to water surface may signal a coming earthquake.

A Japanese scientist had said that there could be some scientific basis to this story.

"Deep-sea fish living near the sea bottom are more sensitive to the movements of active faults than those near the surface of the sea," Kiyoshi Wadatsumi, who studies earthquakes at the nonprofit organization e-PISCO, told the Japan Times.

Aware of the Japanese superstitious belief, the governor of …

A pleasant morning to my fellow batchmates, to my teachers, guests, welcome to the 13th Commencement Exercises!

Cyclops Lamb Born In Ilocos Norte

A man in Badoc, Ilocos Norte got ecstatic when he won five sheep from a raffle recently. He became more delighted after finding out that two of them were actually pregnant.

But the surprise did not stop there for Nestor Aganon, who didn't have any experience on raising sheep before winning the raffle. A few months later, one of the ewes gave birth to a lamb with an unusually huge eye in the middle of its face, leaving Aganon speechless.

The farmer is now hoping that the cyclops lamb will bring him more luck. Aganon said he has no plans of selling his new-found lucky charm.

According to experts, genetic problems or toxins cause such birth defect in animals medically referred to as cyclopia, which occurs when the brain doesn't divide into two lobes early in the pregnancy.

Check out below a video of a one-eyed lamb born earlier this year in Turkey.

Luckily, two neighbors who were passing by heard the baby crying and immediately told the driver to stop. One of them then took the baby out.

The little boy only sustained minor injuries, a slight burn on his ear and shoulder due to the warm car engine.

Inside the car were the boy's mother, sibling and stepfather who was driving. They were to go to a doctor for a check-up.

UFO Sightings 2014: Deer Cam Captures Mysterious Lights From Unidentified Object In Mississippi

UFO sightings have been reported throughout recorded history. Among the most recent that made it to mainstream news took place in Mississippi in February.

A deer cam set up by a Jackson County couple on their wooded property captured mysterious set of hovering lights from a UFO.

Edith and Rainer Shattles, who used the infrared camera to spot wildlife in their fields, were shocked to discover the morning after that clear winter night the strange lights caught by their trail camera.

Images from the cam appear to show two beams of light before the unidentified object appears to fly off into the night sky.

"Well at first, I was trying to see if it was something or a reason for what we were seeing," Edith told WLOX news. "But the more we looked at it, the more we realized that it was something that was in the air, it was something that I had never seen before."

The couple's property is located at Cumbest Bluff, a remote area of Jackson County not far from the infam…

Breakdancing NYPD Cop Video Goes Viral

A video of an alleged NYPD cop in a breakdancing showdown has gone viral online.

Titled "NYPD Cop accepts dance battle against street artist. Cop kills it!," the clip was first posted on Reddit and later made its way on Facebook, where it was shared for more than 40,000 times as of this posting. Check out the said video below:

But apparently the man wearing a police uniform and dancing in the viral video is not really a cop. A former "America's Got Talent" contestant named Josh Vinyard, a.k.a. BBoy Elusive, has claimed he is the one referred to as the "dancing NYPD cop" in the video and clarified that he is not a cop but a stunt man. He said the dance battle took place at a set of a movie.

"Hate to burst the reality bubble but... I am NOT a cop! I am a stunt man who was playing a cop on a movie set that day," he said.

Here's a video of Bboy Elusive's performance on "America's Got Talent."
