According to reports, the 12-year-old girl brought the bag filled with $100 bills to Sixth Grade Academy in Taylor, Michigan and got the school principal's attention when she started distributing the money to other students.

The principal then notified the police, who has seized the $20K cash and now investigating where it came from and what it is for.

"The situation that took place yesterday at our Sixth Grade Academy Building was truly an unusual one. We do not have a specific protocol for this type of situation. There was no threat to the student body in the building and the matter is currently in the hands of the Taylor Police Department," Teresa D. Winnie, Assistant Superintendent of the Taylor School District, said in a statement Tuesday.

When asked about where she got the money from, the 6th grader said a playmate from her neighborhood gave it to her.

100,000 Killer Bees Attack Park Employees In Florida (Video)
About 100,000 killer bees attacked two Florida park workers, who accidentally disturbed a hive, ABC Action News reported Wednesday.

Rodney Pugh and David Zeledon, employees at Picnic Island Park in Port Tampa, were sent to a hospital after they were swarmed by 100,000 Africanized honey bees, known colloquially as killer bees.

The two men were removing garbage near the entrance of the park when they lifted an old tire that happened to be the hive of the bees. Both of them were stung nearly 100 times. They are, however, expected to recover from the attack.

"It was like a thousand little knives poking me in my body," Pugh told ABC Action News. "My ears were just throbbing with pain. It's the worst feeling, because you just had so many and they wouldn't stop."

According to the California Research Bureau, the killer bee is a highly defensive and aggressive cross between the familiar European honeybee and an African variety imported into Brazil for experimental purposes. This "Africanized" variety was accidentally released into the wild in 1957 and has been progressing northward from Brazil ever since, as much as 300 miles per year. After an unexpected slowing along the southern border of the United States several years ago, killer bees have become established in California.

Although the venom of a killer bee is no more potent than that of a European honey bee, but since the former tends to sting in greater numbers once they perceive threat, the number of deaths from them are greater than from the latter.

Check out a video report from ABC Action News regarding the killer bee attack below:

13,200 Girl Scout Cookie Boxes Destroyed
A CBS News video of 13,200 unsold Girl Scout cookie boxes being destroyed by bulldozer in a warehouse in Riverside, California has been causing a storm of controversy around Los Angeles.

The cookies in question were originally ordered by the San Gorgonio Council of the Girl Scouts in Redlands and are reportedly still within their expiration date.

This is apparently not an isolated incident as the supplier, ABC Bakery, only allows a maximum of one per cent of any unsold cookies to be returned for a refund and this kind of unnecessary food waste goes on all the time.

The report claims that the excess cookies could easily have been donated to any number of charity organizations but the council chose to have the 13,200 Girl Scout cookie boxes destroyed as they could not be refunded.

Chuck McKinnon, a representative for the council, claims he was not aware of the destruction of so many cookies and agreed that they should eve been donated to a local food charity, which they have done in the past.

In the video, a sanitation worker could be heard happily cheering "Goodbye, Girl Scout cookies!" as the unsold boxes of cookies were crushed before going to a nearby landfill site.

Woman Marries Twin Sister's Killer In Argentina (Photo)
A woman in Argentina married her twin sister's killer on Thursday and many people, including the woman's family, aren't happy about it.

Woman marries twin sister's killer
In a Valentine's Day civil wedding held in the town of Pico Truncado, Edith Casas, 22, exchanged vows with Victor Cingolani, who was convicted of killing Casas' twin sister, Johana, two years ago.

No one from Casas' family attended the ceremony and a mob reportedly gathered outside the venue, throwing stones and eggs.

Casas believes that Cinggolani is innocent despite his conviction. She had to undergo a psychiatric evaluation, which was requested by her mother, to have a judge approve a day pass for the groom, who is serving a 13-year jail sentence for the murder.

"For me, they are both dead. Johana is with God and Edith with the devil," said Casas' father, Valentin.

Cingolani, who was escorted by several armed police officers, was taken back to prison in handcuffs immediately after the controversial wedding while Casas had to wait for hours until the crowd dispersed and it was safe to leave.

Bunnies attacking cars at Denver International Airport

Bunnies attacking cars at Denver International Airport’s parking area are giving headache to a lot of people.

Bunnies Attacking Cars In Denver
The bunnies reportedly chew on the insulator part of the ignition cables of the cars, causing damage of up to a few thousand dollars.

In an effort to solve the problem, about 100 rabbits are being removed from the area each month. Apparently, the method has not been successful as the problem still persists.

USAirport Parking is now planning to install new fences to make it harder for the bunnies to burrow under.

Meanwhile, local mechanics have advised car owners to coat the cables with predator urine, such as that of coyote and fox. It said to be an effective way to keep the little nibblers away.

Michael Moore: 'NRA Is Doomed' As Result Of Sandy Hook Incident
Michael Moore said the NRA is doomed as a result of the deadly Newtown, Conn. school shootings.

In his interview with the Huffington Post last Friday, the award-winning movie director and gun control advocate said the Sandy Hook incident was a "tipping point."

Michael Moore: 'NRA Is Doomed'
"I think the mood of the country is not changed. People did not forget about this after Christmas. In fact, after Christmas when parents started taking their kids back to school and dropping them off in the morning, they couldn't get this out of their heads," Moore said.

He added: "That is the worst. That's the thing that, the NRA, they are doomed as a result of this, because every day now, every parent that drops their kid off at school or sends them out to the bus stop or whatever can’t help but think, you know, worry, 'What if I don’t see my child later?'"

But according to the U.S. National Rifle Association, it welcomed 250,000 new members the month following the Dec. 14 school shootings. NRA's membership growth announcement was reported on the Huffington Post website barely two weeks ago but apparently didn't come up during Moore's interview.

"You know, we're never gonna get rid of crazy people," Moore continued. "They've been around for thousands of years, they'll continue to be around, they'll continue to do horrible things. But why are we their enablers? That's the crazy part."

McGovern Estate Sale Held In South Dakota
An estate sale for some of the possessions of the late U.S. Sen. George McGovern was held over the weekend at his home in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

McGovern estate sale held
Hundreds of people attended the estate sale, which featured the three-time presidential hopeful's furniture, campaign material, books, artwork and other personal items, including those owned by McGovern's wife Eleanor, who passed away in 2007.

McGovern, one of the most-outspoken voices for liberalism and against the Vietnam War, died last October 21st at age 90.

Daughter Ann McGovern said the family decided to hold an estate sale over an auction to allow those with some connection with them to buy the items.

"What we're hoping is that a significant number of these things will either go to people we either know or have some connection with, and my parents collected a fair amount of art and some really nice pieces over the years, and to see them sort of sold at an auction or something where everybody is trying to get a bargain so they can resell it would be pretty distressing for us," Ann told the Associated Press.

Money raised during the sale will go to McGovern's daughters while the proceeds from McGovern’s book, "An American Journey," will be donated to the Feeding South Dakota, a hunger relief organization which McGovern championed.

"Since 2008, we have had the pleasure of providing our brave U.S. servicemen and women overseas with the most delicious, authentic ‘slices of home’, letting them know we care and we are thinking of them," said Ret. Master Sergeant Mark Evans, founder of Pizzas 4 Patriots. "While our soldiers’ presence in the Middle East continues to become smaller, they still need to know that we appreciate the sacrifices they make for us, our families and our country."

From Great Kitchens in Illinois, the ready-to-make Chicago-style pizzas will be shipped via DHL Express to the American troops stationed at several military bases across Afghanistan and Kuwait. A send off event hosted by Illinois Governor Pat Quinn is scheduled for January 29 at 10:00 a.m. at the Thompson Center in downtown Chicago.

"We are honored to leverage our global network, so U.S. troops can enjoy a taste of home this Super Bowl Sunday," said Ian Clough, CEO of DHL Express U.S. "We are fortunate to have an experienced, committed staff that truly understands the intricacies of international shipping. While DHL Express handles urgent shipments like this across borders every day, I know our teams are working extra hard to ensure the pizzas arrive fresh and in excellent condition."

In the last 4 years, Pizzas 4 Patriots has been cooperating with DHL Express to send more than 122,000 pizzas in support of U.S. military personnel outside America. The group "aims to bring a little bit of home to the troops, and show them that they are supported by the country and residents who enjoy the freedoms that they provide for us."

15,000 Crocodiles Escape From Breeding Farm In South Africa
Around 15,000 crocodiles escaped from a breeding farm in South Africa following heavy rains and flooding.

15,000 Crocodiles Escape South African Farm
The crocodiles sprung from the Rakwena Crocodile Farm, situated along a river on the South Africa-Botswana border, when the farm gates were opened due to rising flood waters.

Officials have sought assistance from experts to help sort out the crocodile crisis.

"Due to the number of crocodiles that have been washed away there is a need for expertise, people who have expertise to come and assist," Hangwani Mulaudzi Mulaudzi, a spokesman for the police in Limpopo Province, said Friday. "So we are just making appeals to anyone ... who has knowledge of catching crocodiles to come and assist."

A number of crocodiles have since been recaptured, but around 10,000 remain on the loose, scattered far and wide. Most of the recapturing efforts were taking place at night as the crocs are easier to hunt when it is dark because their eyes glow when hit with a beam of light.

People who live near the remote region, which sits on the Limpopo River, have been called to be careful around bodies of water. Many of the crocodiles are assumed to now be residing in the river.

Serious floods have hit the surrounding South African province of Limpopo province, leaving 10 people dead and causing many more to lose their homes.

The floods have also affected neighboring Mozambique, where tens of thousands of people have been evacuated from their homes.

Not shown in the 30-seconder clip, reports indicate a man, who tried to warn the woman, ran over to her to pull her out the canal.

The woman in the video was identified as Birmingham radio newsreader Laura Safe.

"I thought ice on the canal was pavement because it looked dark in the corner of my eye," Safe told UK's The Sun newspaper. "I heard a man called out "stop" to me and I looked up at him, but it was too late by that point.

She added: "I tried to get my balance and ended up slipping into the canal. But not before I'd saved my handbag and mobile phone."

Safe, who works as a newsreader for Capital FM Breakfast Show, spent more than an hour drying off and warming up in a pizza chain's toilet, where staff gave her a spare pair of shoes to wear.

A Utah man raised some eyebrows after taking his rifle with him in a J.C. Penney store in Riverdale.

Cindy Yorgason was shopping at the department store on Wednesday when she saw the man with the rifle slung across his back.

Finding it out of the ordinary, Yorgason snapped some photos of the man and posted them to her Facebook page, where images quickly went viral and received quite a number of comments and shares.

The Salt Lake Tribune identified the man as 22-year-old Joseph Kelley, who says he brought the gun to show that the weapons aren't dangerous when handled by law-abiding people.

Kelley says the AR-15 he was carrying was unloaded, which is legal. He also had a handgun with him that time. He told the Tribune that he has a permit to carry the guns, that he is an ex-military, and that he informed police dispatch about his plans before he left his home.

It added, "Break was along the length of about 12 feet of pipe, causing an unusually large amount of water to burst from the pipe."

Water service was restored at approximately noon while the road was reopened at around 6 p.m.

Newtown Conspiracy Theory Claims Shootings Didn't Happen As Reported
A Newtown conspiracy theory by a college professor has stirred controversy in the United States.

Newtown Conspiracy Theory
James Tracy, a communications professor at the Florida Atlantic University, claims that the deadly Newtown shootings didn't happen as reported or may not have happened at all. He believes that trained "crisis actors" may have been hired by the Obama administration in an effort to further a political anti-gun agenda.

"As documents relating to the Sandy Hook shooting continue to be assessed and interpreted by independent researchers, there is a growing awareness that the media coverage of the massacre of 26 children and adults was intended primarily for public consumption to further larger political ends," Tracy wrote on his blog.

"While it sounds like an outrageous claim, one is left to inquire whether the Sandy Hook shooting ever took place -- at least in the way law enforcement authorities and the nation's news media have described," the 47-year-old professor said in another post.

Lisa Metcalf, FAU's media director, told the Sun Sentinel that the views expressed by Tracy do not reflect those of the university.

"James Tracy does not speak for the university," Metcalf said. "The website on which his post appeared is not affiliated with FAU in any way."

Tracy's conspiracy theory has been criticized as "outrageous" and "shameful."

Police say the pair tore down the toilet block at the rear of the connected shops in Beaudesert, Australia and used an iron bar to hack into a fibro wall, creating a small tunnel through which they crawled.

Apparently their calculations were wrong and instead of landing in Wrights Jewellers, the thieves found themselves in the local KFC, where they encountered restaurant staff.

Peter Welsh, 32, and Dwayne Doolan, 31 made the most of their situation by staging an impromptu hold-up. They were able to escape with $2,600.

The robbers were arrested and charged with the New Year's Eve robbery on Wednesday after police raided Welsh's home.

According to the police, the toilet block tunnel was the pair's third attempt to break into the jewellery store that day.
